Let me tell you what you need to know about Ron Paul:
(a) He wants US to get out of all of OUR wars today. As Commander in Chief, he can do that. No more foreign aid that primarily benefits Israel’s enemies. No bank bailouts. No more government picking the winners and losers in OUR society. No policing the world. No putting our soldiers in dangers way. No making our country more of a target due to bombing every other country containing people very similar to us.
(b) He never gets any money from the elitists. They know that he cannot be bought. They already tried. But he has no dirt on him!
(c) He is one of us and he is a patriot!
(d) He is brave. He is honest. He is ethical and moral. He is real. He is consistent. He is honorable and respectful. He is wise. He is fair. He is a uniter. He is qualified. He is no friend to the corporatists and lobbyists. He is a friend of the Constitution, which is OUR BIBLE.
(e) He is mischaracterized and ignored by the media (newspaper articles and TV news – all channels).
(f) He has an enormous and passionate number of citizens who already see what he offers us. TRUE CHANGE. The people who love him have been news junkies who know what is really going on.
(g) Ron Paul is the champion of OUR Constitution.
(h) He is the only presidential candidate to have served in the military.
(i) He is a doctor, not a lawyer. He votes independently.
(j) He wants to help US, not the big bankers, multi-national corporations, or military industrial complex.
(k) He has the best chance of beating Obama because he can unite the conservatives and liberals.

While perusing through the commentary in relevance to an article titled ‘Romney and Bachmann lead Iowa poll’ published  in Yahoo news by Reuters on Sunday, 26th of June.  The poll was conducted between the 19-and 22 of this month by pollster Selzer and co. The results founded off of 400 submissions from republican caucus members placed Mitt Romney as the favored candidate having recieved 23% of the vote with Bachann trailing close behind with 22%.  Candidate Ron Paul recieved only 7%. As the article noted Romney the most prelevent candidate a thread of attached commentary said differently. Not only were these comments a reflection of the growing distain towards the same old policies that continue to ebb away at our social and economic liberties, it showed that people were becomming less inclined to follow the same old rhetoric passed on by corporate media and permiated through society by arbirary regard. In addition, were these 400, or so, submissions a true reflection to the current social-economic state of the average class? I would assume ‘no’ as Ron Pauls’ name came up numerous times. Having run for the Presidential seat in 88′ and agian in 08′ the long time Texas congressman has an over 30 year track record of honesty, integrity and principle of which cannot be compromized.  Of all the comments in the thread a submission  from Lisa said it best~ so, thought I’d share:

The Most Important Event for Ron Paul: Ames Straw Poll, August 13th, 2011

Have you ever heard someone tell you, “I like Ron Paul, but he can’t win”?

If Ron Paul wins the Ames straw poll everything changes. It is the single most important, strategic, and easily achievable endeavor of the entire campaign. If we get 7,500 Iowans to the straw poll to vote for Ron Paul we’ll make the rest of Iowa believe Ron Paul can win and launch Ron Paul to the top of the 2012 Republican race.

Every candidate that has gone on to win the Iowa Caucus has finished in the top two of the Ames Straw Poll. The win in Ames will energize supporters in Iowa and across the country. There will be a snowball effect that should propel Ron Paul to win the Iowa Caucus and soon after the Live Free or Die state of New Hampshire. All 48 other states will depend on the results of Iowa and New Hampshire. Hence the most important event of the entire campaign is the Ames Straw Poll.

How can you help? There are plenty of efforts underway.

The Keys to Economic Growth

by Ron Paul

Recent economic data show that U.S. job growth in May was negligible, while the official unemployment figure– at least the figure the Labor Department admits to– rose to 9.1%. The real unemployment figure, however, as compiled by economist John Williams, may well be higher than 20%. It is clear the U.S. economy is in terrible shape, and that no amount of government spending or Federal Reserve quantitative easing can reduce unemployment, increase real productivity, or address our debt fiasco.U.S. jobs and productivity are dependent on the accumulation of private capital to finance existing businesses or fund new entrepreneurial activity. Private capital– whether accumulated by profitable U.S. businesses, invested by private equity and venture capital firms, or attracted from abroad– is the key to economic growth and new jobs. But we cannot create jobs if we demonize profits, punish risk-taking capitalists, and stay hostile to foreign investment.

The steps to encouraging capital investment and creating new jobs in America are simple, though not easy:

  • First and foremost, we must create a sound U.S. currency backed by gold or some other commodity respected by the market. No nation in history with a rapidly depreciating currency has attracted private capital. Unless and until we prohibit the Treasury and Federal Reserve from essentially creating money and credit from thin air, we cannot restore the U.S. economy.
  • Second, we must create a favorable regulatory environment for U.S. business. This cannot be stressed enough. When businesses don’t know what’s coming next from the EPA, when Obamacare spikes their healthcare costs, or when the Dodd-Frank bill adds almost unknowable regulatory compliance burdens, businesses simply will not expand and hire. It is time to start shrinking the federal register.
  • Third, we must stop spending trillions of dollars overseas on foreign wars. There is no point in debating a foreign policy we cannot afford. It no longer matters what neoconservatives want. Our interventionist foreign policy is financed on credit, and our credit limit has been reached. Our economy would be infinitely better off if those trillions of dollars had never been removed from the private economy or added to our debt.
  • Finally, we must completely revamp the U.S. tax system and move to a territorial model that does not tax foreign source income. U.S. corporations are sitting on more than a trillion dollars in foreign earnings that cannot be repatriated to the U.S. because of taxes. We need to stop taxing unpatriated funds to bring those earnings home. Better yet, we need to abolish the income tax altogether.

The U.S. economy is in deep trouble. Congress needs to act immediately to restore the rule of law and create an environment that rewards, rather than punishes, the critical components of any healthy economy: capital accumulation and investment.

In this struggling economy it is essential for politicians to take a step back and think about what government has been doing to business in this country. In less than 200 years, the free market, property rights, and respect for the rule of law took this nation from a rough frontier to a global economic superpower. Today, however, our nation and our economy clearly are headed in the wrong direction.

Of course, America has never enjoyed absolute free-market capitalism: creeping government intrusion and special interest political patronage have existed and increased since our founding. But America historically has permitted free markets to operate with less government interference than other nations, while showing greater respect for property rights and the rule of law. Less government, respect for private property, and a relatively stable legal environment allowed America to become the wealthiest nation on earth.

By contrast, the poorest nations almost always demonstrate hostility for free markets, private property, and the rule of law. Capital formation, entrepreneurship, credit, and wealth accumulation are uniformly discouraged in poor countries. Private contracts are not reliably enforced, and private property is not secure in the hands of owners. The predictable result is widespread poverty and misery.

In the mid’st of a weekday morning a normal, everyday routine is unfolding. You get up and start with the familiar steps that initiate the day ahead; perhaps by getting dressed, grooming along with general hygene, getting breakfast ect….Maybe not exactly in that order. As a parent or gaurdian this normal routine is permiated towards your child/ren as they too take part in the very rituals that initiate their own day. Once this routine has come to fruition, as it has every other morning- with the exception of weekends and holidays’- you head off to work and your kid/s go off to school. Being a parent you place full faith in the school that you child will be safe. Unfortunately, for many children, that is not always the case as many are subject to bullying and harrasment by their peers and even, in some cases, members of the staff.

As being taunted is a accepted part of life and everybody goes through it at some point or another, it too is often viewed in much of the simular context as the morning ritual~ everyone gets teased at some point in their lives! In this effect bullying is a normal part of growing up. The argument is not in regards to the taunting’s and harrasment itself  as it is to the severity and frequency (ussually escalating) to which a victim is subjected. Some children are harrased so often that mental health afflictions such as depression are a result. Many attempt suicide as a means of vindicating themselves from what they otherwise see as a hopeless dilemma. According to statistics published by ezinearticles.com a child either commits or attempts suicide every half hour with 19,00o attempts on an annual average. Other statistics’ published by this very site are:

Over 75% of our students are subjected to harassment by a bully or Cyber-Bully and experience physical, psychological and/or emotional abuse.

*Over 20% of our kids admit to being a bully or participating in bully-like activities.

*Over one half of bullying & Cyber-Bullying events go unreported to authorities or parents.

*In 2009 surveys showed over 100,000 children carried guns to school as a result of being bullied.

*28% of students who carry weapons in school have witnessed violence in their homes.

*On a daily average 160,000 children miss school because they fear they will be bullied if they attend classes.

*On a monthly average 282,000 students are physically attacked by a bully each month.

*Every seven minutes a child is bullied on a school playground with over 85% of those instances occurring without any intervention.

*46% of males and 26% of females admit to having been involved in physical fights as a result of being bullied.

*Over 85% of our teenagers say that revenge as an aftermath of being bullied is the leading cause for school shootings and homicide.

*The top 5 states in regards to reported incidents of bullying and Cyber-Bullying are California, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

As you can see from the school bullying statistics listed above it is indeed a serious problem that must be addressed whenever discovered.

Unfortunately, as indicated above, most instances of school bully activity go unreported by the student victims

These above figures were taken in 2009 and I speculate, due to the progressive nature that over the course of time, these symptoms have only worsened since. The primary question is what is the solution to this very problem? Some advise the simple action of walking away and seem to forget that, like the victim, the instigators are just as mobile; others say to ‘toughen up’, this is easier to accomplish for some than it is for others and if a solid foundation of personal esteem is not established what is built on it will collapse like a house of cards. Some suggest legislative measures to help ease the causes of bullying often by debasing identity (school uniforms) and through the means of extended beaurocracy and government oversight~ if the teachers and staff are not doing their part in intervening what makes you think, for one minute, that the government will do much better? These theories only alleviate the problem on a arbitrary basis as the illicit dichotomy for each theory become’s ‘it will’ or ‘will not’. Being a constant victim of bullying myself through the majority of my grade school career and some college and even having attempted suicide on numerous occasions due to being violated I can safely say that the above all advice offered by the so-called ”Experts” simply does not work and should be refuted at all cost.

The best way to protect your child from the stigma of being bullied or becoming a bully is to provide them with a foundation which emphasizes respect, dignity, civility and courtesy of which should only pertain to one’s self, but pervade to others as respect is reciprocal. In addition empower your children to make just decisions in the face of injustice. Such programs like the martial arts can help instill such values. But, above all make sure you are there to support your child when things go to shite.

Need I say more?

I do not watch much t.v programming,  if any. When I do watch (actually download) a program, aside from ‘House’  another show that I find quite enjoyable is the Showtime series ‘Dexter’. In relation to Dexter here’s a question:

You’re on a jury along with 11 others who must come to a decision either to condemn or vindicate a defendant who is a serial killer. However, the case in itself is unique due to this persons’ choice of victims’. He doesn’t prey on the innocent, he has never harmed a child and unlike most heterosexual male serial killers he does not prefer killing women over men; gender is of no importance. Instead, the man on trial preys those who contribute to the malignancy of a pathologic society who have committed heinous acts like murder, rape, molestation and child abuse (ie: torture and if social  services’ appears lax in an otherwise dire scenario).

As a member of the jury, what are your own personal thoughts towards the man on trial?

 (Curious)

Try to recall a conversation or even a brief moment of social interaction, such as a casual greeting. Do you remember the dialogue used in addition to vocal tone, facial expressions, body language, gestures, environment, time and whether you were in a casual state or occupied? Was the other person during that moment in time pre-occupied? Maybe/maybe not… the important thing is that you were most likely able to read the other person and respond back in a manner of which understanding and civility is maintained. This is  mostly in part to what isn’t voiced as opposed to what is. To further note,  the non-verbal aspects of communication are also a subconscious guide in which we navigate through the metropolis of what is ‘socialization’ and thusly, ‘conversation’. Recognition of such expressions and their underlying intent serve the participant/s  in not only their own regards and contributions (intellectual or otherwise)  but, they help to avoid uncomfortable situations of awkwardness, offense and or ridicule that is often the result of misinterpretation. The gestures and expressions followed are  not dissimilar to road markings and street signs as facial expression and body language does to provide the rules and boundaries of the established norm.

Now, say we remove these signs and markings; gestures and expressions leaving only the dialogue. Will we be able to recognise the intent of the person in which we spoke? With-out the application of unspoken communication could we distinguish between frustration and sarcasm or pity? This becomes even of further hinderance considering that 80-90% of all communication is non-verbal…

and as the majority of our social interaction is of unspoken word, the ability to read these clues becomes a significant factor. Not only are they custodians of social rule, they provide a course of direction, keep you out of traffic jams and going the wrong direction on a one-way street. If these signals were non-existent confusion would result as would a delay in arriving at an ultimate destination or the ‘wrong’ destination. But, what if you cannot read these signals of non-verbal annunciation? This inability to read into these socialization/communication signals is a hindrance to many with Asbergers’ syndrome.

A form of  high-functioning autism, ‘Asbergers’ is defined as: a type of pervasive development disorder (PDD). PDDs are a group of conditions that involve delays in the development of many basic skills, most notably the ability to socialize with others, to communicate, and to use imagination.http://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/mental-health-aspergers-syndrome

Or: is an autism spectrum disorder that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome

Ever watch the show ‘House’ about a anti-social diagnostician with a witty and humorously sarcastic demeanor? Aside from being highly recommended entertainment for many, the jovial aspects of the show for someone with Asbergers’ can be severely mitigated by their inability or difficulty to distinguish anger from humor. As an ‘aspie’ (ie: someone with Asbergers’) myself,  it took me 3/4ths’ of my life to figure out the very distinctions between the 2 regards. When I was a child I would watch movies like ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Ghostbusters II’ completely oblivious to the comedic elements.

'What's so funny? 0_o

But, humor and contempt are not the only emotional variables of which can be lost in translation as many other important social-psychological contributions can be as well.  That isn’t to say that I, or anyone else with Aspergers’, are incapable of learning to identify such social signals and related items. However, if I cause any offense to anyone reading this post than I apologize in advance.
